Each year we experience an increase in visitors. A couple of years ago we built a new parking lot for those busy days. We made it bigger than what we thought we needed in order to accommodate future growth. Much to our surprise, we already filled it twice this year. In the last decade, online ordering has exploded. What use to be an occasional task has become a daily tsunami of trucks, delivery people, and packages. (this image is just one day's worth of packages) So effective June 1st, we will be charging $5 per delivery. This year has been quite the rollercoaster for Bare Oaks, with an unbelievable number of surprise expenses that have left us both frustrated and exhausted. It seems like everything that could break, did break, and often at the most inconvenient times. Stacey started working with us as a customer support team member in the office. She progressed to assistant manager over the winter and became a full manager, along with Rachel, after successfully managing the spring startup. Last week, Rachel left us so that she could have more freedom to travel around the world. That now makes Stacey the sole operations manager for the park.
