Since Bruce first built the community gardens in 2010, we have been doing Square Foot Gardening. It’s a more environmentally friendly way to garden where you get the same production but in only 20% of the space. It is easy plus it saves water, resources, time and effort. Many of our members enjoy gardening and some have volunteered to help maintain the plants and gardens around the park. For many years, Frank did most of that work on his own. But starting last year, a number of new volunteers took over.
