Garlic Mustard is tasty in a salad but very destructive to Ontario’s native plants. It’s time again for our annual volunteer day. While there are many people volunteering all year, this is the day we set aside for a massive volunteer effort to get things ready for the season. Since Bruce first built the community gardens in 2010, we have been doing Square Foot Gardening. It’s a more environmentally friendly way to garden where you get the same production but in only 20% of the space. It is easy plus it saves water, resources, time and effort. There is a video on YouTube that explains it well.
