In the last decade, online ordering has exploded. What use to be an occasional task has become a daily tsunami of trucks, delivery people, and packages. (this image is just one day’s worth of packages)
So effective June 1st, we will be charging $5 per delivery. ($2 for those with a mailbox) Some exceptions will be made upon request for people disabilities.
Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is a place where people come for leisure. We are a recreational facility so there is no inherent right to receive mail or packages. The objective with this new policy is not to make money but to reduce the volume so that we can focus on our primary purpose.
If you want to avoid the charge you have a few options. Have your package:
- Delivered to your home
- Delivered to alternate pick up point such as the Post Office
- Delivered directly to you which means you need to arrange to meet the delivery driver outside the office
- Left at the end of our driveway but obviously there are inherent risks with that strategy because we are not responsible for theft
IMPORTANT: We do not accept any package that requires identification (e.g. alcohol) under any circumstances. Those will be refused.
