Seasonal Water is ON
The seasonal water system is now working so all trailers now have access to running water. We need to remind you that although the water is filtered and chlorinated, we do not meet the Ontario Ministry of the Environment’s standards for drinking water. The York Region Health Inspector tested our water in March and told us that we met regulation 252 because he believed that we were a trailer park or campground with less than five service connections. However, because we are a campground with year-round use and more than 5 connections, we must meet regulation 170. (Municipal Residential Drinking ...
Singles policy
As a result of a question/criticism on an internet discussion forum about the Bare Oaks single policy, I posted the following message. I thought that others would also be interested in reading it. Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park does not have any rules against single men. There are many single male members and a few single females. However, we do feel the need to maintain a gender balance. Theoretically, that could mean that we would exclude single women should they make up more than 60% of the membership. Realistically, I understand that only men will be affected. There are always ...
Mosquito & Black-fly Control

Bti is essentially a non-toxic substance found naturally in nature. Bti is a biological control in the form of a bacteria that quickly kills the mosquito and black fly at the larvae stage, that is, before they develops into a flying, biting ...
Recycling
We now have large recycling bins for paper, glass, plastic bottles and cans. The recycling bins are located near the clubhouse. Please make sure to sort your recyclables in the appropriate container. Remember, every aluminum can you recycle saves enough electricity to keep a TV going for 4-5 hours! Also, please do not put any chemicals, pesticides, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, used oil, paint or other hazardous waste in the dumpster. Those chemicals will contaminate the environment if dumped in a landfill. They need to be taken to the hazardous waste depot. Computers, microwaves, smoke detectors, computer monitors and other electronics ...
Incredibly warm Sunday!
It was great to see how many people turned out for the hot weather and sunshine on Sunday! Other than the fact the leaves were missing and the grass was brown, it felt like a hot July day. It is also clear that we will have some parking challenges when things get really busy. It’s certainly a great problem to have! ...
