For weeks people have been asking when they will be able to come and camp. Some very patient folks have been making reservations and resolutely moving them forward as we waited for the government to reopen short-term camping. Well that day has finally arrived!! The government is allowing us to enter stage 2 reopening which means that starting on Friday June 19th: Overnight camping is allowed The Bare Bistro patio is open The pool is open (assuming the York Region Health inspector comes in time to approve it) As we have announced previously, you can also book cabins, guest rooms, and visit for the day.Read More →

In addition to the new cabins that were mentioned in an earlier blog, we have also improved our guestrooms. The rooms always featured a comfortable bed, linens, and a Keurig coffee maker with supplies. But they now also have a small fridge and HD Television. The cabins are ready! To encourage some early use, we’re offering half price until June 16th.  Don’t worry if it’s cold – they’re fully heated. The cabins sleep up to 6 and feature a kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave. Outside there is a picnic table and a BBQ with a side burner. The cabin comes with linens, basic dishes and utensils.  Since you don’t need clothes either, packing will be very light and easy!! But there are only 4 available. So make sure you call ahead and reserve. They are an affordable choice for people who want a ready place to stay – either because they don’t own a tent or camper; are coming from far away (e.g. overseas); or just want the convenience of having everything set for them when they arrive. The cabins are insulated and equipped with double-paneRead More →
