2024 is the Olympics in Paris. Consistent with that theme, the Fédération française de naturisme (FFN) is hosting their first indoor volleyball tournament in April and the international swim competition in October. Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park, with sponsorship support from the FCN, is sending a team to compete in the April 20th volleyball tournament. Who will join us? We think we have the best team. Who thinks they can beat us?  Yes it is in April but the volleyball tournament is indoors on sand courts so only naturist attire is appropriate. https://fienta.com/naturist-volleyball-tournament-in-paris-france  Read More →

Yesterday, Corinne Masiero stripped nude to present the nominees for the best costume at France’s César film awards. The actress was protesting the lack of support for cinema during the pandemic. The audience reaction? Applause! Was she then rushed off the stage? No, the host simply asked her about the nominees. Ms. Masiero then calmly proceeded with her presentation without any attempt to cover up. The entire event was broadcast on television without any censorship. Today the news in France does not report any scandal. Why would there be? We’ve always seen France as a society that was quite tolerant of nudity. Unlike many otherRead More →

This picture looks like a typical naturist activity – but it’s not. This is a booth promoting naturism this weekend at the Fête de l’Humanité. It roughly translates to Festival of Humanity and it attracts over half a million people to a 415 hectare (1025 acres) park north of Paris. Started in 1930, it has become a massive cultural expo and concert. Over the years, it has featured many acts including big names like Pink Floyd, The Who, Joan Baez, and Avril Lavigne. According to a report on the France Bleu website, it all started with the poster for the festival that featured a nudeRead More →

Based on the success of the 2013 trip to France, we decided to do it again! But by popular request, we are now offering more flexibility. This year you have the option 1 or 2 weeks at the CHM Montalivet and an additional trip to Paris is also an option. Airfare is no longer included to allow for multiple departure points and to give you more flexibility. (e.g. some people want to use frequent flyer points to get there) The trip is once again being organized by one of our members, Pauline from Nakations.ca. While the modern naturist movement is generally accepted to have startedRead More →

Many people have expressed interest in the group trip to France. Since the interest appears to be there but the commitment hasn’t been made, we’ve extended the deadline to March 22nd. We have enough people for the trip to go ahead. But there are still a few spaces left. This will be the last extension as we need to commit to a final number for the accommodations. This is a very affordable vacation! 10 days in France visiting both the Bordeaux region and Paris during Bastille Day. Details at: http://www.bareoaks.ca/index.php/en/montalivet-trip.html Departures have been organized from the airports in Toronto and Montréal. However, you can join us fromRead More →

This year, Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is introducing a new event: a group trip to France! We have partnered with one of our members, Pauline from Nakations.ca, to organize a fun and affordable naturist vacation to France. While the modern naturist movement is generally accepted to have started in Germany, it was France that perfected the large scale naturist resort. The combination of warm southern France, beaches on the ocean, and the French passion for vacationing naturally combined to create massive naturist resorts. The oldest of these resorts is the Centre Helio Marin Montalivet – best known as the CHM Montalivet. With over 3,000Read More →

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Uo7iGK1Nwo France is often regarded by naturists as the Mecca of naturism.  While the naturist movement is generally considered to have started in Germany, the largest resorts are now found in France. The French government has a division of the tourism ministry whose purpose is only to promote naturist tourism. The naturist district in Cap d’Agde was created by the French government in the 1970’s and now attracts over 40,000 people every summer. Millions of French citizens vacation every year in naturist resorts, clubs and beaches. But as advanced as naturism is in France, it is also an example of how things can go wrongRead More →
